The incredible history of the Tank "Concorde"

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

Here at Vendôme Timepieces we have been incredibly lucky to sell two of these rare models, here is the story!

Sold exclusively in the 80's during flights between Paris and New York operated by AirFrance on the revolutionary Concorde Plane, this line is without doubt the most exclusive of the Tank Must de Cartier line.

The Must de Cartier "Concorde" came on a black strap in a mens and womens size.

  • Womens: 20x28mm (excluding crown)

  • Mens: 23x30mm (excluding crown)

The model characterises itself by a black dial with applied gilt markers, sporting the "Air France" logo at the 6 o'clock mark.

It only existed as a mechanical hand winding watch with a two days power reserve. The caliber is based on the very reliable Eta 2512-1 nicely decorated with cotes de Genève.

The Tank Concorde is the kind of watch that takes you on a trip to the 80s at first sight! Its unique history and limited distribution exclusively on Concorde flight's makes it a legendary timepiece in our books!
